1.   How can I be sure I'll be happy if I  hire The Park Avenue Band?

The Park Avenue Band is made up of professional,
quality musicians.  Through our years of experience, we have built
relationships with many of the finest venue's in the Indianapolis area,
and we feel confident that you will find that we will meet or exceed your expectations.

2.   Will I have a chance to hear a demo before hiring the group?

Yes.  Please visit our Listen Page to hear a small sample of
The Park Avenue Band.  You can also request a CD of the complete version
of each of those tunes by calling us or by using our contact page.  

3.   Can I see the group perform in person before hiring them?

Yes!  The Park Avenue Band will try to accommodate any requests to see
the group perform live.  Any scheduled public performances will be open to
you of course, and we will take care of any  ticket prices or door fees if
you talk to us in advance.   We will provide entrance to any dances or concerts
free of charge that we are able to.  Private events such as weddings, receptions,
or private parties will not usually be accessible.  Rare exceptions to this policy
will be at the sole discretion of our client, and any visiting guests will need to dress
appropriately for the occasion, and be a discreet presence.  

4.   How much will it cost to hire the group?

That depends!  Please fill out our Contact page or simply call us at (317) 753-1998
and ask for Tom to let us know what kind of event your planning, and
for what kind of occasion!  Rest assured that you will be given concrete prices
once we know what your needs are, and the prices will be clearly spelled out
on your contract.  Performances are priced based on the venue,
so you can see why we need some details before we can give you
a meaningful answer to your question!

It's not unusual for us to simply price our services based on the venue and the situation.
We play plenty of free events every year (such as church related events, benefit concerts
like the one for Katrina victims, and so on).

5.   Are there any other extra charges?  

No.  Everything will always be completely documented in a contract for our
mutual understanding and protection.  If you request anything that would
require additional costs due to additional personnel, rental fees, travel,
lodging, purchased music for special requests, etc., this must be contracted
and arranged in advance.  WE WILL NEVER POP ANY "OH-BY-THE-WAY"
CHARGES ON YOU EVER!

6.   Will the musicians dress appropriately?  

Yes.   Always.  All musicians will dress in formal attire (Tuxes) for weddings
(ceremonies and receptions) unless specifically requested not to by the
wedding party.  For other events, the dress will always be appropriate for
the event.  

7.   Can I request a specific song not on the band's play list?

Yes.  We can make almost any request work!  In some cases, additional costs
for purchase or arranging of a requested song will be charged, and these
costs will be discussed with you and clearly indicated in the contract.  
Please feel free to ask for a special song!

8.   Does The Park Avenue Band perform outside of the
Indianapolis area?

Yes. Look at some of the former performances,such as the Parks Concert in Gas City!
Our band will be happy to perform for your event.  Any performances
contracted outside a certain distance from Indy will incur a modest travel
fee, which will be clearly identified in your contract.  Travel to suburbs of
Indianapolis are not charged an extra fee.  

9.   Can we use your microphone for toasts and announcements?

Absolutely!  Any time we provide the PA system, our client will be able to use
the mic for toasts and announcements.  We can also make announcements for
you at no additional charge.

10.  How far in advance should we book the band?

Obviously, in order to ensure availability, contact us as far in advance as
possible.    But if you have a last minute need for entertainment, don't
hesitate to call!  We are big enough to provide the energy and sound you want but
small enough to scramble for a last minute event!

There are larger bands somewhat similar to us near Indy, but many of those bands
charge outrageous $!  We put the band together for one reason..........FUN!
