1. Will I have a chance to hear a demo before hiring the group?
Yes. Please visit our "Hear the Band!" to hear a small sample of The Park Avenue Band. You can also request a CD of the same tunes by calling us or by using our contact page, and requesting a Press Kit (our brochure).
2. Can I see the group perform in person before hiring them?
Yes! The Park Avenue Band will try to accommodate any requests to see the group perform live. Any scheduled public performances will be open to you, of course. Private events such as weddings, receptions, or private parties will not usually be as accessible. There are exceptions, however, so don't hesitate to ask!
3. Will the musicians / performers dress "up" for my event?
Yes. Always. We take pride in our presentation and our professionalism. All the musicians dress in formal attire (Tuxes for weddings, ceremonies, and receptions) unless specifically requested . For other events, the dress will always be appropriate for the event.
4. Can I request a specific song which is not on the band's play list?
Yes. We can make almost any request work! In some cases, additional costs for purchase or arranging of a requested song will be charged, and these
costs will be discussed with you thoroughly, and clearly indicated in the contract. We already play many of the most popular "special requests." but please feel free to ask for a special song!
5. Does The Park Avenue Band perform outside of the Indianapolis area?
Absolutely! Our band will be happy to perform for your event wherever your event is to be held. Any performances contracted outside the Greater Metropolitan Area of Indianapolis (which includes suburbs) might incur a modest travel fee, which will be thoroughly discussed with you and clearly identified in your contract with us.
6. Can we use your microphone (audio system) for our toasts and announcements?
Of course. Leta and Steven, the "Stars" of our show, can also make announcements for you (if you prefer) acting as your surrogate Hosts. We'll do what is convenient for you! You have all the options.
7. How far in advance should we book the band?
Obviously, in order to ensure availability, contact us as far in advance as you are possibly able. But , if you have a last minute need for entertainment, don't
hesitate to call! We are not booked every night of every week. We are big enough to provide the energy and sound you want, but we are versatile enough to scramble for a last minute event when we are not otherwise engaged.
